Is India lagging behind in the 6G race? Big claim in the report, America and China will dominate
After 5G, preparations are now going on for 6G across the world. India is also among the few countries where work is being done for testing 6G. The central government has also announced to make 6G test for this. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has also claimed that India will be among the select countries where 6G service will be started first. However, a recent report has claimed that India may lag behind many countries including America and China in 6G service.
India’s name is not in top 9 countries
Research firm Juniper has estimated that 6G service will start in the world in 2029. As soon as the service is launched, the number of 6G connections will reach 46 lakh. At the same time, by 2030, China will become the world’s largest market for 6G service. At the same time, 6G service will be launched first in America and South Korea. The research firm has not placed India among the top 9 countries that have launched 6G services. This means that India is included in the top 10 countries to start 6G service, but this service will be started after many countries including America and China.

How different from 5G?
6G will use terahertz spectrum, which is much higher than the frequencies used for 5G. These waves will be capable of transferring data at lightning speed. Apart from this, it will be a completely AI native based network, which will work on its own Artificial Intelligence. Integrated Sourcing and Communication (ISAC) will be available in it. This will be a communication service based on very advanced technology.
