How to identify real or fake website?

Most fake websites look exactly like the real website, which is difficult for most people to identify. If you are not tech savvy then you will not be able to identify this type of website. However, for this you need to pay attention to some basic things, which will help you know whether the website is real or fake.

  1. First check the URL. If the URL of any website seems strange to you, then immediately become alert. Hackers try to use a URL similar to the original website. However, if the same domain is not available, they use any URL.
  2. Apart from this, instead of directly clicking any link searched on Google, you type the URL. You should avoid clicking such suspicious links.
  3. Keep Google Play Protect on to prevent fake apps from being downloaded to your phone. By doing this, fake apps will not be downloaded on your phone.
  4. Always enter your personal information on the official website only. Always try to type the website URL for the official domain.
  5. If the URL of a website starts with “https//”, then only it will be considered a secure website.
